Help on Mastodon

Hi all.

I would like some help and advice.

I've been trying to grow my visibility on mastodon but i seem to be losing followers quicker than i can find them.

I'm using tags and things, but almost all my posts are ignored. It doesnt seem to matter what the post is about.

The posts could be directly about my music, random thoughts and comments, or a call for songs for a charity compilation im organising. Indeed when someone here shared news of that compilation on there he later deleted the post. I asked him why. He said he had received "feedback" and didnt want to "get involved". Involved in what? A charity compilation?

So if anyone has any information, help or advice, I'd really appreciate it.
