A 4 minute video from CIG about this new ship and some of the features:

    • Ship hull opens up and exposes cargo grid to the exterior.
    • External tractor beam (S2 remote).
    • Wing "feathers" fold in on landing to make cargo easier to access from more angles.

I like the way the cargo section folds open but can't help but feel the type of cargo storage limits the use a lot. You probably can't take a vehicle in there and only standard crates. I wonder if it even takes looted ship weapons or something

Yeah, they showed off a video in the past where they want us to be able to attach vehicles and pretty much any item to ship cargo grids as well. It's only partially implemented for now.

But even when they get that fully working, it looks like you would only be able to fit some hoverbikes on this ship.

I would assume that looted ship weapons should attach as long as they're small enough. That does seem to work for most weapons on most cargo ship grids right now.
