    My #ActivityPub developer guide moved to another repository: https://codeberg.org/silverpill/ap-next/src/branch/main/guide.md

    It started as a FEP, but has evolved into something bigger.

    About the repository:

    As stated in the readme, ActivityPub Next is a project dedicated to evolving the ActivityPub protocol.

    Currently it only contains the developer guide, but I think that more content will be added over time.

      @silverpill can you clarify, if you use the compact form of an attribute or property, do you still have to add a context for it in the context array? I assume no because everything else about json-ld is being thrown out

        @sun I would add it, because some consumers may fail to process the object without correct context.

          @sun In theory @context is not required in ActivityPub (it's a SHOULD), but when I tried to remove it, I quickly learned that Mastodon rejects actors without @context.

          (I shall mention that in the guide.)

            @sun Added a section about @context: https://codeberg.org/silverpill/ap-next/src/branch/main/guide.md#context
